Therapy Philosophy

The idea behind the name Time to Grow is to embody a commitment to personal healing and growth.  Time to Grow’s focus is on self-discovery, transformative change, and overall development in personal life and relationships.

 

Through a supportive and understanding therapeutic approach, we explore your experiences and emotions to you uncover the roots of your behaviours. This means in sessions we will discuss attachment styles, how one’s upbringing has affected their adult life, gain awareness of “why we do what we do” and work through challenges to discover the root of your emotions that underlies behaviour, to make meaningful and long-lasting changes in your life and relationships.

 

Together, we will navigate the path to self-discovery and growth.

Free 15-Min Consultation

Book a free 15-minute phone or video consult. During this consult, we will discuss what brings you to therapy and what you are hoping for. Then we will provide an overview of  how we practice therapy to ensure we are the right fit for you. This time will allow you to ask any questions or bring up any concerns you may have. Therapy is an incredibly intimate experience and finding the right person is so important!

Intake Appointment

Next is the first appointment. During this time, we will discuss in more detail what brought you to therapy. This means we will be asking questions about your history and current situation then work together to clarify your therapy goals. The intake session is a space where we can lay the groundwork for a safe, empathetic, and positive therapeutic space to create the path together toward personal growth.

Now the work begins.
